Community Charitable fundraising

Hammonds makes financial contributions to a number of charities, and staff participate in events throughout the year to raise funds for a number of good causes.

The firm operates The Thousandth Man - Richard Burns Charitable Trust (formerly The Hammonds Charitable Trust, re-named in memory of former Senior Partner, Richard Burns). The Charitable Trust donates over £70,000 each year to a wide range of charities, including Cancer Research UK, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, NSPCC, Birmingham Children's Hospital, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help for Heroes, The British Heart Foundation, The Stroke Association, London Legal Support Trust, Hollybank Trust, Dr Kershaw's Hospice, The Prince's Trust, Variety Club Children's Charity, WaterAid, St Basils, MENCAP, Orchid and a variety of other registered charities. The Charitable Trust is funded by annual contributions by the firm's partners.

Each Hammonds office also chooses to support a charity and holds activities throughout the year to raise funds. Staff have participated in Jeans for Genes Day, Red Nose Day, sponsored sleep-outs for local homeless charities, and in national events, such as The Three Peaks Challenge and The London Marathon.
